That’s a wrap on SASE Onsite. Meeting face-to-face with so many from our Slack crew brought our community to life in the best way—deep dives, great convos, and some solid hang time. It’s been amazing to see that energy brought back to the Slack channels and to see the continued discussion, both from folks that were able to attend the Onsite and from the broader community. Already hyped to see where we take things in 2025!
Following the Onsite, one of our members, Mike Helsel, started a google doc for crowdsourcing guides on how to be an ASE. Check it out and add your own advice and wisdom! How to... be SASE
Community member Shane Reetz asked attendees what moments resonated most with them during the event—here are some of their takeaways:
- “SASE has a big role to play in ‘Developer Relations’ - which is a new idea to me in our industry!” -David Nichols
- “I was chatting with people non-stop and there was a long list of folks I wanted to talk to and never got around to” -Andy Robinson
- “I got detailed info on current state of digital twins in the wild…This has been hard to get anywhere else.” Russ Waddell
So, what is an ASE? Here are some insights from members who attended Onsite—hear what drives our community and the unique mix of skills, creativity, and curiosity that define Automation Software Engineers.
Stay tuned for what we're cooking up next at SASE.
